It is funny the things we remember. My earliest memory is sitting in a laundry basket with my cousin. He leaned over and bit me on the arm, which is probably why I remember it. But one of my next earliest memories is going to church and sticking my tongue out at the pastor. In other words, I’ve been going to church for a long time.

And I was taught that the promise of the Gospel is freedom. The problem was, even though I’d been a Christian most of my life, I didn’t feel free. I felt like a slave to my sin. So I began to ask God to help me find answers to these questions…

  • Why am I not experiencing the freedom that is promised by Jesus?
  • Is there anything I can do about it?

Over the last five years I’ve started to uncover answers. Eventually, I began to realize the things I was learning could help other people too. There is far more life and freedom in Jesus than we know and it is available to all of us.

We really can be free.
